Shipping & Return Policy

Shipping Policy

Scales Outlet will ship using the best method available to be the most cost effective for you, our customer. You'll notice we offer free ground shipping on a lot of our products. We are able to provide this because of the relationships and deals we've established with our partners and carriers. Many of the scales and balances found on our website ship direct from the manufacturer. This also helps to reduce cost, which is why we are able to give such great prices and free shipping! Because of this, we limit the options available for shipping when you shop online. If you do require expedited shipping, contact us! One of our team members will be happy to help.

Product Availability

We attempt to provide accurate and up-to-date shipping lead times on all products whether in our inventory or otherwise. However, from time-to-time, inventory may not be available or a drop-ship designated product may be out-of-stock at our supplier. In the event a product is unavailable for delivery, we will promptly notify you and provide an estimated shipment date for those products which are not available. Where applicable, substitutions will be made available to you and can be substituted upon approval of the customer. However, if you can't wait or a substitution is not deserved, we will return your payment to you via the method originally used to place the order.

Tracking

Upon shipment of order, Scales Outlet will provide a tracking number for Customer to track the status of shipments relating to their order. Tracking numbers are generated immediately upon shipment from our inventory. For applicable drop-ship products, our suppliers will provide tracking information promptly, however, there may be a short delay from the time of shipment to the time the tracking number is provided to you.

Return & Refund Policy

If you are not entirely satisfied with your purchase, we're here to help! We will do whatever it takes to earn your satisfaction. As a general rule of thumb, most products can be returned within 30 days of the original purchase date. A new product may be exchanged for another or returned for a refund. Refunds can be given in the form of store credit for future purchases or we can return your payment to you the same way you paid.

Please note that some scales are direct-shipped and are subject to re-stocking fees if certain criteria is not met. However, we do everything in our power to waive those fees. In an effort to better handle your return without restocking fees, please determine if your return meets the requirements below.

  • The product was purchased in the last 30 days. (some exceptions apply)
  • The product is in its original packaging. 
  • The product isn't used or damaged. (unless defective)
  • You have the invoice or proof of purchase. (if not, we can help find it!)
  • Request a Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA)

Shipping charges

Shipping charges are a bummer when you're not completely satisfied with your order. If we've made a mistake, if the product is defective or if you're not happy with the product you've received, shipping costs are on us. For other types of returns, we ask that you cover shipping.
